Skick: Bra skick - varsamt använd
Chinese export-style porcelain ginger jar (covered jar) decorated in the famille rose (fencai) palette. Here are the key observations:
* Shape: A classic ginger jar with a domed lid.
* Decoration: Hand-painted scenes of figures in a pavilion, floral motifs, birds, and decorative borders in pink, green, iron red, yellow, and black.
* Palette: The pink enamel is characteristic of the famille rose style, which originated during the Qing dynasty but has been widely reproduced ever since.
* Base mark: The red square seal mark is a four-character Chinese reign mark. Based on the style, it is almost certainly an apocryphal (honorary) mark, meaning it references an earlier emperor rather than indicating the actual date of manufacture.
