The only story we have on this guitar is that it had 2 dead pickups on arrival to us (neck and bridge) but both could be saved by Norwegian Fender guru Øivin Fjeld without doing a complete rewind.
Instead, he removed the outermost 20 layers of wire on both pickups to remove the short circuit. Since the cables were too short after earlier removal, both pickups had their cables professionally spliced and lengthened using correct, non-tinned vintage cable, with the splice hidden under the masking tape. All the original parts—including the original volume potentiometer and the 3-way switch—were re-installed by Øivin exactly as they were in the case.
One detail to mention is that the pickguard has a small burnmark from a soldering iron in the lower edge.
