1998 Felipe Conde Hermanos Classical Guitar — Handmade in Madrid
A rare opportunity to own a beautiful classical guitar built in 1998 at the world-renowned Conde Hermanos workshop in Madrid — the same house of luthiers whose guitars have been played by Paco de Lucía, Sabicas, and Leonard Cohen, among others. (The shop's current workshop is at C/ Arrieta 4, in Madrid )
This guitar has the warm, rich voice and exquisite craftsmanship the Conde name is known for: every small detail, from the rosette to the fine finish work, reflects generations of Spanish guitar-making tradition.
I bought it a few years ago as a huge Leonard Cohen fan — he famously played a Conde, and I wanted one of my own. Unfortunately, I never found the time to learn to play, and an instrument this beautiful deserves to be in the hands of someone who will actually make it sing.
