Svensk musköt tillverkad i Carl Gustafs Stad (Eskilstuna) 1855 med en intressant bakgrund.
Totallängden är 116 cm och pipans kaliber är 19 mm.

This is a war tropy from Portuguese officers in the Colonial War 1961-1974.
Very rare piece because Portugal never had Swedish rifles in their army. The origin of this piece is left to the imagination
Original condition without restore or other works. An Officer trophy capture from the Angola warriors, painted with varnish for conservation and displayed on a wall in your house.
Original marks and numbers: "1855 Carl Gustafs Stad" with the Swedish crown and serial numbers "852".
Signed by the owner warrior: "MU GARI" with the personal mark of an iron wire beautiful work.
"Canhangulo" is a kind of rifle widely used in Angola and other Portuguese colonies. Made in the 20th century from 19th century army rifles, in this case a 1855 Carl Gustaf Sweden Army Standard percussion rifle. Most of these 19th century rifles were exchanged with the natives and later used in rebellions and war. They were adapted to the needs and taste of their owners, so each "Canhangulo" is unique.
The "Canhangulos" were mostly loaded with pieces of iron, nails and similar materials. Thus, its effective range and power of penetration was reduced, but a shot against an assembled troop or an open vehicle was capable of injuring many victims.
