Empirical Labs FATSO EL7x w/ EL-FTC Sidechain Controller
The FATSO EL7x is a legendary analog compressor/saturator designed to bring warmth, punch, and tape-like character to your mixes. This upgraded version features the ELEVEN compressor mode, a powerful emulation of the classic UREI 1176LN at 20:1 with a slow attack and fast release—ideal for taming transients while maintaining energy. Use it to subtly enhance or heavily compress vocals, bass, acoustic instruments, drums, and more.
Included is the EL-FTC (Fatso Threshold Controller), which connects to the sidechain inserts and lets you dial in precise compressor thresholds on both channels—perfect for fine-tuning your compression and saturation settings.
