We bought them one year ago. We used the frame for almost 4 months and the mattress for 7 months. We decided to change the mattress because we have a newborn that is sleeping with us and it is not suitable for her.
We don’t have any pets and we have always used a mattress protector layer. We used to air it every week and turn it monthly.
Traditional futon is a 13 cm thick bed mattress stuffed with 90-95% cotton and 5-10% polyester. Karup futon mattresses have a higher density and thickness than traditional Japanese futon beds, but they still inherit the good qualities of a traditional futon. Traditional futon gives you a firm and comfortable sleeping surface. The cotton in the futon adapts to your body and supports it. The mattress has a stylish piqué surface.
