Crazy Tube Circuits Sidekick är en mångsidig multieffektpedal som kombinerar modulation, delay och reverb i en och samma enhet. Pedalen är djupt inspirerad av det klassiska, rymliga effektsoundet från 1980-talet.
Core Specifications & Controls:
The Sidekick features three independently controllable effect sections that can be stacked together:
1. Modulation Section
• Algorithms: Chorus and Flanger (featuring a slow chorus with mild feedback).
• Controls: Depth, Speed, and a mini toggle switch to select the algorithm.
2. Delay / Echo Section
• Algorithms: Tape Echo simulator (with a colored preamp) and Digital Delay.
Controls:
• Time: Sets the delay length (40 ms to 800 ms).
• Tail: Controls feedback / repeats.
• More: Acts as the mix/level control for the delay.
3. Reverb Section
• Algorithms (Bank A): Classic reverb sounds (Plate, Spring, and Hall).
• Algorithms (Bank B): 80s signature reverb sounds (Gated, Exciter, and Shimmer with an octave-up).
Controls:
• Mix, Excite (adjusts the core character/size of the chosen algorithm), and Bank A/B selector.
Hardware & Technical Specs:
• Bypass: True bypass via clickless relays for each section. Buffered bypass with trails is available for the Reverb.
• Power Requirement: 9V DC center-negative power supply (not included), drawing roughly 210mA to 220mA.
• Enclosure: Compact, durable metal housing with top-mounted jacks.
• Dimensions (Sidekick JR): 72 x 118 x 50 mm (Width × Depth × Height) / 6.9 x 12.5 cm footprint.
• Weight: 364g
• Connectivity: Includes an XLR DI output, headphone output with volume, ground lift, and speaker simulation.
• Footswitch Expansions: Features onboard footswitches, but can be paired with the external XT Mini Switch (sold separately) for independent, isolated modulation switching.
