Esteve 655 is a model that was developed in collaboration with the staff at the guitarshop Gitarren in Gothenburg. It has a slightly longer scale, i.e. active string length (between the saddle and the bridge) than other Esteve models. The extra five millimeters increases the string tension slightly, which provides a little extra pressure resistance, but it also gives the tone extra elasticity and brilliance.

Fransisco Esteve in Valencia is one of the leading guitar builders in Spain. The range extends from upper beginner class to concert instruments. Esteve is also a pioneer when it comes to orchestral instruments, i.e. soprano, harpsichord, alto and bass guitars used in guitar orchestras at music colleges, municipal music schools etc. All Esteve guitars are nylon string models and all have tops made of solid cedar or spruce. Esteve is very careful in its selection of wood – even for the cheaper instruments – which is reflected in both the tone and the build quality. A high-quality and very affordable guitar range.
