Musician Audio - Pegasus II R2R DAC is, as the name suggests, an R2R DAC (fully balanced via the XLR outputs), stationary DAC. Version II of the Musician Pegasus DAC features upgraded internal components compared to its predecessor for improved performance (improved FPGA chip - Altera Cyclone IV chip - as well as audiophile quality capacitors and independent power supplies for its digital and analog parts). It handles a large number of different decoding types and sample rates (everything you could possibly need...). It has a very relaxed ("analogue"...) sound, which is nevertheless precise and musical. NOTE 1! This DAC cannot be used as a preamplifier because it has no volume control. NOTE 2! Musician Audio does not recommend using both the RCA and XLR outputs at the same time. It can be done, but the sound quality deteriorates significantly.
