With the Deco Tape Saturation Double Tracker effect unit Strymon has dedicated itself to the legendary tape effects of early Recording Studios. Strymon has managed to pack some of these unique effects in a compact Stompbox. An important feature of the "old" analog Studio sounds the tape saturation - unlike digital recording media, sounds with vintage tape machines slightly overdriving the associated compression are very pleasant and round. The Deco simulates this effect very convincingly. Furthermore, other characteristic tape machines Effects on board are: the popular Bandflanging, two tape machines with the same recording in the first parallel, then one of the two machines is slightly slowed down. Results are frequency cancellations and comb filter effects that create the so-called flanger effect. There are also Tape Chorus, Slap Back and Tape Delay effects available.
