I am looking at rehoming Gibson, my 1yo female Australian Shepherd. Due to personal health problems, I made the painful decision to find a more suitable home for her, where she will get what she needs on a daily basis.
Gibs is a 1.5 year old female looking for a new active home where she can have on exercise and training. She has lived with me for a year and we have trained basic obedience and many games (herding orientated, football, fetch, find etc). She is hardworking and loyal. She works great with all kinds of people, including small children, and environments.
Gibs is an all round fantastic dog. She loves being outdoors and would thrive with training in any specialty. She's a quick learner and enjoys very much being a good girl.
I got her from a breeder in Germany last June and have all paperwork. She is not registered in Sweden. I have her puppy litter number and her parents are ASCA registered so it's just a matter of an online file to be filled out.
I honestly have zero problem with her, she truly is special. I just don't have the health to give her what she needs to be herself anymore.
Qualities:
- Fantastic recall
- Easy to train
- Will do just about anything for a treat
- Crate trained
- Car trained (crate or dog seatbelt)
- Loves swimming
- Loves all dogs and wants to be friends with everyone.
- Cat friendly. She just doesn't understand they don't want to play and had her nose scratched a couple of times
- Child friendly, from babies
- Happy to make new human friends
- Ok with showering. Not eager to get in the tub but once in it she gives up. Loves a big towely cuddle afterwards
- Fine w claw clipping and grooming. Loves being brushed.
Difficulties:
- Terrified of squeaky toys
- Could use more training on the leash. We normally take big walks in the countryside where we don't use the leash.

You must understand she needs an active home & lifetime to thrive. An apartment doesn't work. She needs a garden.
