Mustique, modular sectional sofa, the ideal island of comfort
“Spacious and elegantly understated, the Mustique modular sectional sofa—named after a small island in the Grenadines archipelago—evokes the idea of a happy place, designed for relaxation and restful escapes for the spirit. Its structure, composed of two ‘H’-shaped frames in burnished metal or brushed steel with a slender profile, supports the linear padded base on which the seat cushions rest, creating a double soft layer that lends strong linearity to the design.
The cushions adopt the regular parallelepiped shape, offered in a range of different sizes according to function, and the upholstery is enhanced by distinctive pinched stitching that accentuates the forms. The carefully balanced interplay of joints gives rise to a proportioned and perfectly harmonious design, a composition with an industrial edge in which every element finds its proper place and fulfills its precise role. Softer surfaces and more rounded corners instead characterize the taller, additional cushions, which are angled to support the natural posture of the back.
