The EWB205WNE is an Exotic Wood Bass series five-string acoustic/ electric bass model introduced in 2007
The EWB205WNE (which was referred to as the EWB25WNE in the Japanese market) features an original EWB body (which is shared with the EW series guitars) with a soft Florentine cutaway. The top is cordi with binding on cordia back and sides. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 34" scale, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with a special acrylic pearloid inlay at the twelfth fret. Components include a compensated Ivorex II saddle in a rosewood bridge with black plastic bridge pins, an Ivorex II nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a B-Band UST undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez SRTc preamp with chorus, phase reverse with anti-feedback frequency and onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
