Material birch plywood.
Mint condition.
Egon Riss’s Gull bookstand is the little sibling of the famous Isokon Penguin Donkey Mk I. It can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. Only fifteen were originally made before war halted production; one which to this day sits on the desk of Walter Gropius house in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
The Gull is sculptural in design and organic in shape and the curves are reminiscent of a bird. Isokon reissued the Gull in 2020.
Made by the Isokon furniture company in London.
Imported to Sweden 2022.
