Serial number shows it was made July 1977
Functions: Chronograph, date, day, tachymeter.
Size: 39 MM x 44MM x 14 MM. (Excl. Crown).
Bracelet: An original stainless steel Seiko H-link.
Glass: Hardlex crystal
Dial: blue sunburst pattern with lumed indices.
Hands: Baton style.
Day/Date has a quick set function. By depressing the crown, they advance one day. The day function has an alternating English / Arabic dial.
The the Seiko Bruce Lee blue dial chronograph ref 6139-6012 became synonymous with the actor and martial arts icon after its release, and it was frequently seen on his wrist from mid 1969 until he died in 1973. Featuring the legendary 6139 movement, the first automatic chronograph movement with a vertical clutch, the 6139-6012 features a classic sport watch design with its tacky meter scale and iconic "C"-shaped case.
IMPORTANT!
CONDITION:
Reset pusher (lower pusher) is very hard to depress in order to reset the chronograph. This I understand could possibly be the reason why the sub-30 minute hand at 6 o'clock does not move. Otherwise it seems to be a very clean watch, a very clean movement and also seems to run quite well. That said no guarantees for functionality is given on vintage watches. It is sold as is - no guarantees given, and a full disclosure regarding the issues that it has is hereby proclaimed. Please bear in mind that it will need some sort of service to function fully. Additionally there is of course wear and tear to consider. There are scratches and dings, pitting etc all in accordance with the age of the watch. This will only be sent insured and tracked with Postnord. Preferably pick up in person.
Sent as Rek Post, cost 147 SEK, tracked and insured up to 10.000 SEK.
Please ask for international insurance as it will be more expensive. I will not send anywhere without being tracked and insured.
