Skick: Nytt skick - helt ny
J.F. Zatara - Forged from a scuffed-up walnut veneer box, Fifty / Fifty got split right in half for a body-through neck of dumpster-dived oak. It's got the metallic inlay of a cheap antique and the attitude of a street dog. Despite playing smooth, this three-string irritant just wants to run its mouth to bigger guitars. Bless its heart.
Body
- A walnut veneer box from a second hand shop in Gamlestan, Gothenburg
- The surface ain't been touched. Mostly so all the scratch-and-scrape history could remain
Neck
- Oak baseboards recovered from a blue container at the Port of Gothenburg (The boards contained excessively long protruding nails).
- Flanked by two sections of birch driftwood located on the island of Tjörn
- Initially coated with black, then brown, linseed oil paint, the finish was wiped down, resulting in a soiled brown residual hue.
- The birch received two applications of linseed oil.
Heal
- Same oak as the neck, supplemented with a thin, partially compromised (rotted) piece of birch driftwood.
- Same treatment as the Neck
Fretboard
- More birch driftwood. Includes one long, intentionally integrated fissure
- Sanded and polished.
- Two coats of linseed oil applied
Frets
- 21 stainless steel medium frets
- Gently hammered and roughly polished
Fret markers
- Burned markers and side fret markers
- Possessed a notably burnt odor
Head
- Oak and Birch
- Sanded and polished.
- Two coats of linseed oil applied
Bridge/Saddle
- A threaded rod with two nuts glued to each end
Nut
- Ebony from a small statue bought at the Village des brocanteurs 27 flea market in Pont-Audemer, France
- Sanded and polished.
- Two coats of linseed oil applied
F-holes
- Yes, but they are circular, thereby resulting in O-holes.
