Pedal Preamp
Guitarists never tire of looking for more and more great pedals to tweak their distortion sound, but what if the amp already sounds great but could do with a bit more gain? Overdrives and treble boosters would alter the frequency response - not desirable in this case. This is exactly where the MXR Micro has been just the thing for many years - without distorting the sound, the amp gets exactly the kick it was missing; ideal for getting a powerful lead sound out of old Marshalls, Fenders and Voxes without messing up their beloved characteristic sound.
