The Zyxel NAP203 is a dual-band 802.11ac Wireless Access Point (Wi-Fi 5) designed for cloud-managed networks, featuring Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for simplified deployment.
It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, providing a total maximum throughput of 1750 Mbps, with 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 450 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
The device supports 3x3 MIMO technology with MU-MIMO, enabling efficient data transfer to multiple devices simultaneously.
A key feature of the NAP203 is its "dual-optimized" antenna design, which allows the radiation pattern to be adjusted via a physical switch or cloud configuration to deliver optimal signal coverage for both ceiling-mount and wall-mount installations, ensuring consistent Wi-Fi performance regardless of placement.
The access point is managed through the Zyxel Nebula cloud platform, enabling zero-touch deployment, remote configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics from a single, intuitive interface, making it accessible even to non-IT professionals.
This cloud management is supported by secure NETCONF-based communication for configuration changes.
The NAP203 is PoE-compliant (802.3at), drawing 12.48 W of power, and includes two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and a 4-pin serial console port for management and diagnostics.
It supports enterprise-grade security features, including WPA/WPA2-PSK, WPA/WPA2-Enterprise, MAC filtering, RADIUS authentication, and Layer-2 isolation.
The device is available with bundled cloud service licenses, including a 3-year Nebula Cloud Centre license in some configurations, and is designed with an ultra-slim profile (32 mm height) for discreet integration into modern environments.
