Sad to be selling the Fiesta as I’ve only had her for a year and had great plans for her, but with a baby soon arriving something bigger was needed…
Of course serviced according schedule, only one service in my ownership at Ford Malmö. Fluid levels, tyre pressures etc. monitored carefully.
ST Performance Pack, with the Quaife limited slip diff, flat foot shifting, shift light and launch control.
Recaro sports seats in half leather / alcantara and Bang & Olufsen sound system (awesome), heated seats in the front as well as a heated front windscreen and heated steering wheel, lovely on those cold winter mornings. Android auto / Apple CarPlay (not wireless). Bluetooth, phone etc of course. Wireless phone charging pad. Nav which for £3.49 a month connects to Ford’s Connected Drive or whatever they call it and gives you live traffic and hazard info etc. The car connects to wifi and updates itself when it’s sat outside the house. Keyless entry and start. 2 keys. Lane assist / auto full beam. Half-LED headlights (dipped beam is LED). Ford app gives remote lock/unlock, vehicle location tracking, service history. Active TPMS - both summer and winter wheels have the correct sensors fitted, just swap the wheels, reset the system and go for a drive and it will pick up the new sensors.
Very economical for what is actually quite a quick car - the car will shut down one cylinder when you are cruising and run as a two-cylinder. I can average 5.5 L/100km on my 50km commute to work. My long term average is around 7 L/100km which is still pretty good.
At the moment the car is Stage 1, with an intake and remap from Pumaspeed making a claimed 255hp. In normal mode the car is mostly the same, but with more intake and turbo noise. In sports mode there are small crackles from the exhaust on the overrun and the difference in power is much more obvious. There is a short-shift adaptor on the gearbox which reduces the gear lever throw distance by 35% compared to standard. I have upgraded the battery from the standard cheap Ford EFB battery to a Varta Gold AGM battery. WeatherTech moulded rubber mats fitted front and back inside.
Summer tyres are as-new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport, purchased last summer and only just put back on the car now after winter. The car had Pilot Sport 4 on when I got it which are standard but they were awful - tramlining and extreme wheel hop under hard acceleration. No such symptoms from the Goodyears and the GRIP is amazing.
Winter tyres are Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3, they are on 15 inch black steel wheels. A bit more sidewall than the 18 inch summers and performed very well this winter. Bought new this winter so very little wear.
I had planned to lower the car once summer came around - I have a new set of Mountune sport springs which will drop the car 20mm while keeping the force vectoring on the rear axle, these are unfitted and I can include them. I also have a Pumaspeed lower engine torque mount which is almost a mandatory upgrade to these 3-cylinder STs, again, to be fitted (two bolts once you’ve got the lower engine cover off). Stiffer than the standard one for a more “direct” feel and reduced engine movement under hard acceleration which should reduce wheel hop. As well, a full set of RallyFlapz in black with red ST logo, unfitted. As I said - I had great plans for the car including upgrading the brakes (sorry, I didn’t buy those yet) and potentially taking the car to stage 2 which would be near 300hp… but… the baby… I also have engine oil and a new filter, and some correct coolant from Ford which you are welcome to. Take as much or as little of this stuff as you like.
Anyway, my pride and joy, up for sale, she’s washed inside and out, sat in the garage waiting for her new owner. I have another car so the Fiesta is not being driven.
