ENGINE ENHANCEMENTS: The 250cc two-stroke engine receives a comprehensive update for MY2026, aimed at bringing its performance character closer to its larger 300cc sibling. This was achieved by adopting a shared crankshaft design with reduced stroke and an increased bore to maintain the 250cc displacement. Key updates include a redesigned cylinder with modified transfer port geometry, and a newly engineered head with an optimised combustion chamber. These changes deliver a noticeable boost in torque and smoother, more linear power delivery – while maintaining the 250’s spirited performance. Riders will also benefit from improved mass centralisation and a lower centre of gravity. Additionally, the crankcase now accommodates larger bearings for increased durability.
GEARBOX IMPROVEMENTS: Second gear has been extensively reworked to expand its usable range. This upgrade improves the transition into third gear, more stable ride – especially noticeable in rough terrain or during Hard Enduro segments. These refinements enhance rider comfort and ease of use, particularly when navigating technical sections.
