The Metallica jacket with built-in speakers is the highly rare, vintage Sessions M4 Metallica Jacket, released way back in 2009.
The jacket was a highly unique collaboration between the snowboarding apparel company Sessions, audio brand Skullcandy, and Metallica. Because it was a limited edition run of only about 800 units worldwide, finding one today is incredibly difficult and relies entirely on secondary collector markets.
Key Features of the Original Sessions M4 Jacket
• Integrated Audio: It came equipped with two Skullcandy speakers built directly into the hood alongside an integrated amplifier.
• On-Sleeve Controls: A soft, custom control panel was embedded on the sleeve, allowing the wearer to adjust volume or skip tracks easily.
• iPod & iPhone Connectivity: It featured a waterproof internal pocket with an old-school 30-pin iPod dock connector.
• Design: The interior and exterior featured exclusive, heavy-metal inspired Metallica artwork and branding.
