Wizard Modern Classic 100W, EL34, in stunning Texan tolex.
Rick St. Pierre, AC/DC’s amp tech for roughly two decades, designed and hand-built these for the Young brothers, and still builds them today. Since then his amps have found their way to players like Dan Hawkins of The Darkness, Wolf Hoffmann of Accept Frank Sidoris of Slash’s band, Adam Jones from Tool, James Hetfield from Metallica among others.
In my own experience, nothing else on the market matches the punch, clarity, and note separation this amp puts on the table. As far as I’ve seen, this is the only one in Sweden, and only a handful exist across the EU.
This particular amp matches the exact spec James Hetfield used on Garage Inc., Load, and Reload, that unmistakable Wizard crunch you hear on tracks like Mercyful Fate, Outlaw Torn etc.

It’s freshly serviced by Dan Gower (again, if you know, you know) with new tubes.
Ordering a new one from Rick in these specs will cost more than 75000SEK with shipping and VAT.
