Up for sale is a rare and authentic 19th-century Ottoman scribe’s / calligrapher’s pair of scissors.
This is a beautiful collector's piece featuring traditional Ottoman craftsmanship, made from hand-forged steel with gold damascening (Koftgari) floral overlay along the shanks and blades.

Period: 19th Century (Ottoman Empire)
Material: Forged steel with gold wire inlay (Koftgari)
Design: Double-concave hollow-ground inner blades designed for precision paper cutting, featured alongside decorative openwork above the finger loops.
Condition: Excellent historical condition with honest patina. High percentage of original gold inlay remains intact. Original pivot screw is firm and present.
