Exceptional Vintage Rosenthal Germany Porcelain Bud Vase
Up for sale is a stunning piece of mid-century German craftsmanship from the renowned Rosenthal Selb-Plössberg factory. This elegant bud vase features the highly sought-after matte black "Porcelaine Noire" (bisque) finish, creating a dramatic backdrop for the delicate hand-painted artwork.
Design Details:
Artist/Studio: Produced by the Rosenthal Art Department (Selb), featuring a sleek teardrop shape attributed to designer Richard Scharrer.
Motif: A lush, vibrant pink rose with a secondary bud on the reverse.
Accents: Intricately detailed with genuine 24-karat gold branches and a hand-gilded rim.
Era: Circa 1950s - 1960s.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The matte black finish is smooth with no major scuffs or chips. The gold gilding on the rim and floral accents remains bright and intact. (Note: Please see photos for the Rosenthal backstamp on the base).
