For your consideration is an exceptional piece of glassmaking history: a hand-enameled ribbed glass produced by the legendary Riedel (Josef Riedel) in Bohemia, featuring the iconic "Slovak Art Nouveau" folk motifs of celebrated architect and designer Dušan Jurkovič.
This piece is a stunning example of the Secessionist period (circa 1900), blending traditional folk artistry with high-end glass craftsmanship.
Key Features:
Designer: Dušan Jurkovič (1868–1947), renowned for his "Folk Modernism."
Maker: Josef Riedel (features the authentic etched "JR" block trademark on the base).
Design: Intricate hand-enameled central medallion featuring a symmetrical bird and floral motif in vibrant blue, yellow, green, and red.
Glassware: Fine clear glass with a vertical "optic" ribbed texture and a delicately flared rim.
