The optionally available battery unit is a special lithium iron phosphate battery which has several advantages compared to conventional lithium ion batteries (see accessory "RPI STROMPI AKKU"):
increased safety, as no chemical self-ignition is possible
a considerably longer service life
wider temperature application range
more charging cycles
the battery is automatically charged during operation on an external power source
The individual inputs can now be variably prioritized, allowing the StromPi 3 to be perfectly adapted to your project.
With a voltage range of 6 to 61 V and a current of up to 3 A, even larger projects can be supplied with enough power.
In addition, the StromPi 3 now has its own configurable and autonomously acting microsystem unit, which can be used for programmable start-stop behavior: Let your system boot and shutdown at predefined times to perform measurements or to switch devices on or off.
The included RTC real-time clock can also be used to time the Raspberry Pi when running without internet access. In addition, the StromPi 3 has been extended to include control via the serial interface (battery charge status, voltage values of the inputs/outputs, control and configuration), which makes it an absolute all-rounder.
The Strompi 3 is also designed for professional (industrial) use and 24/7 capable.Via USB output also for almost all other single board computers besides Raspberry Pi like: Arduino, Red pitaya, Banana Pi etc.
