Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1973, the Maralunga sofa is one of the most iconic Italian sofa designs of the late 20th century. Produced by Cassina, the model became famous for its adjustable backrest system, which allows each back cushion to fold between a low lounge position and a higher supportive backrest. The design quickly became a classic and remains one of Cassina’s most recognizable pieces.
