I am selling my recording / home guitar amp rig:
A Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister Deluxe 20 amplifier head & Randall RG8 1x8 35w cabinet.
Both are in like-new condition, sparingly used at low volumes, and fully functional. I am the original owner and they have been in a smoke-free home.
The amp: TLDR; A flexible, practical, and fun hidden-gem - an all-tube amp with a modern tone and more features than you normally find on an amp at this price.
It is an all valve / a tube guitar amp with 2 EL84 power tubes and 2 12AX7 preamp tubes. It is still on its original tubes. Great for recording (red box DI built in) & has served me well as both a pedal platform (dedicated effects/ FX loop) and practice amp (it can be attenuated to 0w, 1w, 5w, or 20 w). It is two-channel and has a lot of crisp clean headroom in the clean channel & a modern crunch tone in the lead channel (complete with a boost button for next level gain). It comes with it's own original soft carrying case & is pretty light at around 5kg. It also glows blue through a clear case when it is on which is honestly pretty fun. Dimensions: 35 x 15 x 15 cm
The cab: Randall RG8 1x8 is 35w cabinet with a metal front grill. Packs a punch for its size and I have no complaints, but it is most suitable as a home practice amp (or as a speaker load for the amp's silent recording mode). 6.5kg. Dimensions: 288 x 296 x 192 mm. Slightly smaller than the amp, but the amp's four feet all fit comfortably on the top :)
If you want to come test the amp, you can also try it on a my 1x12 to hear the effect if you want to use it with a bigger cab for louder rehearsal / practice/ gigs.
You can use the setup I am selling + one bigger cab to cover home practice, rehearsal, gigging, and recording - there is a reason this amp comes with a case!
